Set sail aboard the Cachalote, a first-class rigged motor-sailor schooner. Meaning “sperm whale” in Spanish, the Cachalote Motor Sailor is a steel-hulled, ketch-rigged motor sailor yacht, originally built in 1971 and completely refurbished in 2002 for sailing the Galápagos Islands.
It is a beautiful sailboat with wooden decks – ideal for those looking for an option between a 1st-Class and Tourist-Superior Class Cruise.
Cachalote accommodates 16 passengers in her 8 cabins (7 with upper/lower berths and one “matrimonial” cabin), all with private baths with hot/cold water showers, and fully air conditioned with independent air conditioning units in each cabin.
