ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 1: San Pedro de Atacama – Hito Cajón – Desert

Pick up from the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (city center) and transfer to the Hito Cajón border for the vehicle change. We will start by visiting Laguna Blanca and the Volcán Licancabur viewpoint to observe Laguna Verde. Next, we visit the Salvador Dalí rocks and head to the Polques Hot Springs (38°C). We will visit the Morning Sun Geysers (stop at 5770m), Laguna Colorada (to see three types of flamingos), the Siloli Desert, and the Stone Tree before continuing to our accommodation.


Day 2: Desert – Uyuni

After breakfast at the hotel , we will visit the four highland lagoons: Laguna Cañapa, Laguna Hedionda, Laguna Honda, Chiarcota, and Laguna Ramaditas, which are feeding and resting points for flamingos. We will also visit the viewpoint of Volcán Ollague (a semi-active volcano at 5,865m) to observe fumarolic activity, before heading to the hotel.


Day 3: Uyuni – Villa Mar

After breakfast , we will visit the Train Cemetery in Uyuni, followed by the town of Colchani to see the manual salt production process and artisan market. We will appreciate the salt heaps, saltwater eyes, the Dakar Rally monument, the world flag plaza, and the first salt hotel (now a museum). We will visit giant salt structures (stairway, pyramid, clock, hand, and condor). Picnic lunch on the salt flat (weather permitting). Afterward, we visit Isla Incahuasi (dry season only, April-November) for a hike among giant cacti and panoramic views. We will make stops for perspective photos/videos on the return. Finally, we visit the city of Uyuni and the San Cristóbal colonial church before heading to the hotel.


Day 4: Villa Mar – Hito Cajón – San Pedro de Atacama


Breakfast at the hotel. Departure at 5:30 a.m. to reach the Hito Cajón border around 9:30 a.m. for the transfer to San Pedro de Atacama (without a guide). END OF SERVICES.

When can Incahuasi Island be visited?
Incahuasi Island can only be visited during the dry season, which is from April to November.

Does the tour include a guide?
The tour includes a private 4x4 Jeep with a Spanish-speaking driver. An optional Spanish or English guide can be added for an additional fee.

How many people per Jeep?
Groups of 1 to 4 people travel in one 4x4 Jeep. Groups of 5 to 8 people use two 4x4 Jeeps.

What documents do I need?
