This 13 Day itinerary shows off the diversity of Southern Peru with a chance to spot the majestic condors flying through the condor pass in the morning to Colca Canyon.

Day 01: Arrive Lima
After you clear immigrations, retrieve your luggage and pass through customs you will be greeted and taken by private car to Miraflores, Lima to check in to your hotel. Overnight Lima.
Day 02: Leisure Day Lima
Your hotel is situated in the heart of Miraflores. 5 blocks south is the Pacific Ocean and 5 blocks north is the main square. Visit Larcomar complex with its many restaurants, movies, stores and gold museum. It is safe to walk at night in Miraflores. Overnight Lima. (B)
Day 03: Lima-Arequipa flight. Arequipa City Tour
You will be greeted in your hotel and taken by private car to the Lima airport for your flight to Arequipa. You will be met in the Arequipa airport and taken on a private Arequipa City Tour.
The “White City of Arequipa”, Peru’s second largest and one of its most beautiful cities. Warm and pleasant, Arequipa has more of a desert climate with many cactus and palm trees. You will visit the beautiful cathedral, Santa Catalina Convent and the museum to observe the mummy Juanita, one of oldest and preserved mummies of South America. You will be able to observe the majestic presence of the Misti Volcano. At the end of the tour of Arequipa you will be taken to your hotel to check in. Overnight Arequipa. (B)
Day 04: Arequipa-Colca Canyon
After breakfast and hotel checkout you will be met and taken to the Colca Lodge in Colca Canyon (4-5 hour drive in group tourist van).
During the ride you will visit the National Reserve of Cañahuas Pampas to observe groups of Alpacas and Vicunas. The drive through Vizcachani, a typical landscape of the Andes, offers a panoramic view of the White Mountain range. Visit the hanging Pre-Inca tombs, the small cities of Pinchillo, Maca, the town of Shames Anvil (visiting its church with cusqueñan paintings) and Chivay. Later you will arrive at the Colca Lodge where you can enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot springs
Day 05: Colca Canyon-Puno (Group van)
After breakfast you will be taken to the viewpoint of “the Cross of the Condor”, a few kilometres from Condor Cabana where the Colca Canyon starts. Here hopefully you’ll witness the wonderful spectacle of the flight of the Condors. Following you will continue on 6-7 hours to Puno by group tourist van to check in to your hotel. Puno is at 3,860 meters. Restaurants and shops are 1 block from hotel. Overnight Puno. (B)
Day 06: Group Tour Lake Titicaca, Uros, Taquile (lunch) ALL-DAY
After an excellent breakfast you will be taken to Lake Titicaca (10 minutes) for a visit to the floating man-made Islands of Uros on a group motor yacht tour.
Here you will meet, up-close the citizens who have preserved their old traditions and still live on the water. “The Aquatic Tribe” will show you how they have kept their customs, make their islands and display their crafts made of reeds. The motor yacht tour then continues to he island of Taquile, inhabited by native Quechuas. On Taquile you can appreciate and purchase some of the finest handmade crafts and basket weavings in Perú to support the very friendly and welcoming island people. Typical lunch included on Taquile of fresh lake trout or a vegetarian option. In the late afternoon return to Puno by boat where your van will be waiting to return you to your hotel. Overnight Puno. Day 07: Puno-Cusco Tour Bus
After breakfast you will check-out of your hotel, be greeted and taken to the 07:00 tourist bus for your 10 hour guided tour to Puno. Stopping along the way you will visit the Sistine Chapel of the Andes, Andahuaylillas. This is a very pretty cathedral with frescoes on almost every wall. Sorry no pictures allowed. The temple ruins at Raqchi< are magnificent at the second stop. There are remains of cottages, warehouses and terraces and it is a beautifully excavated clean site.
The remains of the largest Incan church are there and the tight stonework left standing is incredible. Next you’ll stop for a sit-down relaxing buffet Andean lunch. The next stop is La Raya, the highest point on the route at over 4,300 meters elevation. The final stop is the museum in Pukaraou to see the ancient pre-Incans artifacts. When you arrive in Cusco you will be met at the bus and taken to your hotel to check. Overnight Cusco. (B,L)
Day 08: Leisure Day Cusco. (B)
Day 09: Private Sacred Valley Tour
You will be picked up at your hotel to begin your tour of the beautiful Sacred Valley. This ride through the land of the Incas first stops in Chinchero to see where original textile products are made.
Next visit Ollantaytambo, an original Inca archaeological city with its magnificent wall where the Inca defended the Sacred Valley to the North. In the afternoon enjoy a typical Andean buffet lunch. Optional visit to a local artisan pottery factory. Overnight Ollantaytambo. (B,L)
Day 10: Ollantaytambo-Aguas Calientes train
After breakfast check out of your hotel this morning. You will not be returning here. Walk the 5 minutes down to the train station with tickets and passports to board the Vistadome train further west to Aguas Calientes where you will be greeted to walk to your hotel. You will have time to enjoy the hot springs today if you desire. Overnight Aguas Calientes. (B)
Day 11: Private Machu Picchu Guided Tour. Aguas Calientes – Cusco train
After breakfast you will be met by your guide and taken on an unforgettable tour of Machu Picchu. Arrive early to see the sunrise from inside the park if you wish.
Enjoy a 3 hour guided tour with your guide and later have time to hike and explore on your own. When finished, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes(20 minutes) to board your train to Cusco (4 hours). You will be greeted in the Poroy station and driven back to Cusco by private car. (20 minutes). Overnight Cusco. (B)
Day 12: Private Cusco City Tour (½ Day)
In the afternoon you will be met at your hotel for the unforgettable Cusco City Tour by private car. Visit the temple of the sun (Koricancha). Afterwards you will go north (20 minutes) to visit the ancient ceremonial sites of the Incas just outside of Cusco: the megalithic walls of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pucapucara. After completion of the tour you will be returned to your hotel. Overnight Cusco. (B)
Day 13: Cusco-Lima Flight. Private Lima City Tour. Depart Lima
At the designated time you will be greeted in your hotel and taken to enjoy enjoy the private Lima “The City of the Kings” tour. Visit the Plaza Mayor Lima and the 16th century Cathedral of gold, followed by a tour of the catacombs at the Convento San Francisco and the Museum of Gold.
These are the most popular tourist attractions in Lima.
The tour comes to a close in one of the most beautiful residential districts in Lima, Miraflores. There you will visit the only pre-Inca ruin remaining there, Huaca Pucllana, constructed in the 2nd century AD. You will be taken to the Lima airport by private car in time for your departing flight.
