Promperu launches campaign to promote domestic tourism

Lima, Jan. 20.

Peru´s export and tourism promotion agency Promperu on Friday launches a new campaign to promote domestic tourism in the country, titled "Febrero Viajero" (Traveler February).

Said campaign will be presented by Peru’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Jose Luis Silva, who also serves as head of Promperu.

A few weeks ago, the Government declared February 13 and 14 as non-working holidays for the Public Sector with the main purpose to boost domestic tourism.

The main objective is to promote domestic tourism on the occasion of the festivals which take place in February such as the traditional Cajamarca’s Carnival and Virgen de la Candelaria in Puno.
