Peruvian presents online magazine on gastronomy in New York

Lima, New York.13.

Peruvian graphic designer Chris Yong-Garcia is the editor of Latin Lover Food and Travel Magazine, a free online quarterly magazine based in New York, United States, that was presented in the Big Apple.

The magazine, in which restaurants, recipes, and hotels are reviewed, includes interviews with important restaurateurs and chefs, and features a wide variety of recipes that gather together the “rich cultural heritage” behind Latino dishes.

According to Yong-Garcia, the purpose is “to build a community around Latin culture that bridges Latino and non-Latino populations and facilitates tourism both at home – in the restaurants and cultural institutions of New York City and beyond – and abroad around the world.”

"Magic and pleasure is what Latin American cuisine is all about, and years of mixing these two basic ingredients have created an incredible richness that spans cultures and continents," writes the editor in its online magazine.

In this first issue, the magazine is devoted to Peruvian cuisine and to one of its most prominent chefs Emmanuel Piqueras, who has been acknowledged as one of the best in the world by different specialized magazines such as Food and Wine.
