Peru to promote tourist attractions at Fitur

Lima, Jan. 02.

Peru´s export and tourism agency PromPeru along with 17 Peruvian companies are to participate in the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2012, to be held on January 18-22 in Madrid, Spain.

The main purpose is to boost and position the Andean country as a megadiverse and multidisciplinary tourist destination, promoting different kinds of tourism such as the archaeological, adventure, nature, experiential, urban and gastronomic ones, as many others.

Promperu stated that said fair will enable entrepreneurs to obtain information on the Spanish market regarding the tendencies and behavior of the final consumer as well as to update the existing database and increase contracts with travel agents and tour operators participating in the fair.

To this end, Promperu published a resolution which authorizes the trip of four officials to Spain, Focus on Travel News reported.

Fitur is a meeting point for tourism professionals who can establish lines of action, strategies and business alliances to energize and consolidate the tourism business, innovating to answer the changing demands of the market.
