Peru´s Amazon rainforest dream destination for nature lovers

Lima, Jan. 01.

With more than 60% of its territory covered by the jungle, Peru is the ideal destination to visit these precious lands.

There are two main gateways to the country´s Amazon, Iquitos, in the north and Puerto Maldonado in the south.

Iquitos is the largest city in the world that can not be accessed by road so the only way to get to this vibrant city is by air or water.

According to an article from OnlyLatinAmericaTours, many tourists choose to go on a cruise along the Amazon River and explore the wonderful rainforest from the comfort of a modern vessel.

From Puerto Maldonado, travelers can take a boat ride through the jungle and stay in one of the shelters in the jungle. The Tambopata National Reserve and Manu National Park teem with wildlife wonders impressive to watch. The region has the world record several species, including ants, butterflies and birds.
