Itinerary:

Travel Lima Day 01: Arrive to Lima

Welcome and reception at the airport in Lima and transfer to your hotel in upscale Miraflores.

Tours Lima Day 02: Lima City Tour

After breakfast you will be greeted in your hotel and taken on the Lima City "of the Kings" Tour. Visit the Plaza Mayor, the 16th century Cathedral of gold, followed by a tour of the catacombs at the Convento San Francisco and the Museum of Gold. These are the most popular tourist attractions in Lima. The tour comes to a close in one of the wealthiest and most beautiful residential districts in Lima, Miraflores. There you will visit the only pre-Inca ruin remaining there, Huaca Pucllana. Constructed in the 2nd century AD, it was built by the Inca people as a "Sacred Town" and was a busy ceremonial and administrative center. You will be returned to your hotel after the tour.

Travel Cusco Day 03: Lima-Cusco. Cusco City Tour

You will be taken to the Lima airport for your one hour flight to Cusco then greeted in the Cusco airport. In the afternoon you will be met at your hotel for the unforgettable group Cusco City Tour by tourist bus. Visit the Plaza de Armas, the temple of the sun (Koricancha), and La Catedral in the center of Cusco. Afterwards you will go north to visit the ancient ceremonial sites of the Incas just outside of Cusco: the megalithic walls of Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo Pucapucara. Then visit the baths, canals, aqueducts and waterfalls of Tambomachay. After completion of the tour you will be brought back to your hotel.

Tours Sacred Valley Day 04: Sacred Valley Tour

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel to begin your group tour of the beautiful Sacred Valley. This ride through the land of the Incas first stops in Pisaq, a beautiful place to observe archaeological remains and visit the famous Indian market. Then continue on to Urubamba where you'll stop and have a delicious typical Andean buffet lunch. Next visit the archaeological city of Ollantaytambo, an original Inca city. Scale the magnificent wall and see where the 2 valleys converge. This is where the Inca defended the Sacred Valley to the North. Rest and overnight in your Sacred Valley Hotel.

Travel Machu Picchu Day 05: Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

Hike through the extensive riverfront grounds of the hotel and enjoy its museum, theater and restaurants. This is a leisure day to explore, relax and enjoy family time.

Tour Machu Picchu Day 06: Machu Picchu

Early in the morning our staff will pick you up from the hotel to take you to the station for the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu). Our staff will be waiting at the train station to escort you on the short walk to the hotel. At your hotel on the edge of the mountain jungle you will be able to tour, with your naturalist guide, the gardens, grounds and trails to see native birds, plants and flowers that surround Machu Picchu. This is a most unique location and climate. Don't forget that Machu Picchu is part of jungle.

Travel Cusco Day 07: Machu Picchu - Cusco

After breakfast you will be met by your guide and taken up by bus 3 km to the Machu Picchu Park Entrance. Arrive early to see the sunrise if you wish. Enjoy a 3 hour guided tour with your guide and later have time to explore on your own. When finished, take the bus back down to Aguas Caliente to board your train to Cusco(Poroy) and transfer back to your hotel.

Tour Cusco Day 08: Free day in Cusco.

Free day in Cusco, you can use to walk around town, learn a little more about this special place, visit the museums, night Qosqo go downtown, where they offer dances from Peru, or go shopping.

Travel Lima Day 09: Cusco-Lima. Depart Lima

Private transfer to Cusco airport for one hour flight to Lima.
